Antoine Winfield Named to All Fundamentals Team

Antoine Winfield, veteran cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings, was named to the 2010 USA Football/NFL Players Association All-Fundamentals team for excellence both on and off the field.

Winfield was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 1999 draft. He came to the Vikings in 2004 via free agency. Peter King recognized Antoine in his list of the 500 best NFL players. Winfield came in at #31. Winfield is also a 2x Pro-Bowler.

Locally, Winfield has visited the Hennepin County Medical Center emergency room personnel, has donated cars to single mothers as part of his affiliation with the Minneapolis Urban League Employment & Training Program, has volunteered at blood drives organized by the Vikings and hosted the Bolder Bowl to raise funds for Bolder Options.

Paul Allen of KFAN interviews Winfield during his morning radio show each week after the game to discuss both the game and the Vikings in general. Winfield is always gracious and generous with his time.

Antoine addressed the media Friday to talk about his charity work and playing outdoors on Monday night. You can view the video here:
